1. Turn Off Your Mobile Phone
This is the most important thing that you should do at the very first step in order to focus on studying with full concentration. Almost all of us use at least one social media, and we are so habitual of looking at our phone every minute or second, regardless it beeps or not. We are so much into social media that we keep scrolling through the content for hours and hours and we don’t even realize how much time we are spending on it. It’s really difficult to completely avoid social media because cell phone has become a part of our daily life and we feel something is missing if we don’t have it with us. I’m not saying to avoid it entirely but use it in a smart way that will help you to Study With Full Concentration.
2. Set 20 Minutes Timer to Study With Full Concentration
To have full concentration you need to set a timer for 20 mins (Often time it’s called Pomodoro where you set the timer for 25 mins but for me, 20 min works well, It can be different for you). Once you set up the timer forget what is going on in the world, social media, or any other noise. Now your world is that task that you want to finish, it can be anything, in this case, a study book. Now focus on this small specific task for 20 minutes.
At the benign, you can start a timer for 5 mins or can go lower, and practice it. over the period of time, your will notice that you are able to focus not just only on your studies but on many things.
3. Study With Full Concentration With Taking Breaks
We all know that taking a break is good for us, but almost all the time we forget to do it. It is really important to take a break because when you have been focusing on something for a while and you are stuck at a point, you try harder and harder to fix that, but it doesn’t go as you thought. But, when you take a break and come back to that specific task you will realize that it was a very small and silly thing. Once your 20 mins are finished move from that place and do something, it can be going out for a walk, grabbing a cup of coffee, taking a nap, reading something, etc.
After taking a break repeat step 2, and over the period of time you will realize your focus level has improved and you are able to study with full concentration. It is not an instant result, you will have to practice it every day for a couple of days. Remember you are trying to change your habit and it takes time so be patient and follow the process and you will end up with charming results.
It is also important to have a study schedule. Make sure to establish a timetable for studying to know when to start and when to stop. This will help to keep you focused and on track.
